On August 18, 2020, Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee released its final report. It showed that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election and that Trump welcomed the help. The report explains that Russia hacked Democratic emails and released them through Wikileaks to help Trump. Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort had deep ties with a Russian intelligence officer. The Senate report warned we should expect more interference in 2020.
