Are Democrats socialists?

Democrats want a balanced economy that works for everyone. That’s not radical, and it’s not socialism. It means wages people can raise a family on, better working conditions, and stronger unions, as well as supporting small businesses. Programs like the minimum wage, public education, and Social Security have all been called socialist, but each of them helped build a stronger economy. What Democrats want to do is update them for the 21st century.
