Voting & Elections

RUMOR:

A late increase in votes for Democrats must be fraud.

REALITY:

A “blue shift” will reflect voting patterns, not fraud.

There will be more mail-in votes than ever before in 2020. The majority are likely to be from Democratic voters. These ballots may take several days to arrive and even longer to validate.

These mail-in ballots will probably increase the number of votes for Democratic candidates in the days after the election. It may also lead to accusations of fraud by Republicans. However, for the election to be fair, all the votes must be counted.
