Rumor vs Reality

Both Senate seats in Georgia are up for election. The outcome of these races will decide which party has the majority in the Senate. If the two parties can’t work together on common goals, then the party with the majority in the Senate will make most of the decisions.

A new president chooses cabinet members, judicial appointees and creates budgets. The Senate must confirm them. If the president doesn’t have support in the Senate, it can lead to “gridlock”  – a situation where nearly nothing can get done.
